Hands-on daily care

What sets Cannella Farms apart is simple: hands-on daily care from the family that runs the barn, so your horse is looked after day to day, through bad weather, and on every holiday. It’s the same standard of care the Cannella family has kept since 1985.

Room to move

Boarded horses get daily turnout and access to open Long Island riding country right from the property. Whether you ride every day or visit on weekends, your horse is cared for like one of our own in between.

Boarding questions

What’s a typical day for a boarded horse?
Stalls are mucked out first thing each morning, horses are fed quality grain morning and evening with hay and water always available, and every horse gets turnout during the day. Blankets go on and come off with the weather, and staff lay eyes on each horse throughout the day.
Is the barn really staffed overnight?
We provide attentive daily care: turnout, feeding, and stall checks by the family that runs the farm. Ask us about care schedules and after-hours needs.
Can I visit or ride my own horse whenever I want?
Boarders are welcome during barn hours, and your horse gets daily turnout plus access to the trails right off the property. Talk to us about your riding schedule and we’ll make sure it works.
How is boarding priced?
Pricing depends on the stall and level of care your horse needs, so we quote it per horse rather than list a flat rate — call the barn and we’ll talk through what’s available and what it costs.
